Excellent first stay. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel location is central. Staff is very warm and welcoming.
I had the pleasure of visiting Islamabad Hotel, and I must say their tea was absolutely delightful! The aroma, taste, and presentation were all perfect — freshly brewed and served hot, just the way I like it. The ambiance of the lounge made the experience even better — calm, elegant, and relaxing. It’s the kind of place where you can sit for hours enjoying your tea and the peaceful surroundings.
Buffet dinner at roof top is excellent.. Food and service both good.
This place has a nostalgic feeling for old islos which I am not but my early life was spent in Islamabad and Murree and this hotel had a very nice cold coffee and my favorite at that time peach malba ice cream. The security situation in our country has taken away lots of ease from our local lives. Anyway the place is still breathing and keeping up with growing city around it .....the location of this hotel is so much better than most of the hotels still today despite all the Serena and Marriott and best western and moveinpick in near vicinity too but this place is adjacent to the most famous aabpara market and food court which is an experience in it self. Someone who is on short trip to Islamabad as a foreigner can have lot more ease in stay if they stay near such amenities and shopping adjacent to this hotel. I hope their room standards have been maintained and so is the food quality too

"The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable." 4. "The location was perfect, with easy access to all major attractions." 5. "The hotel excelled in security and cleanliness as well." Feel free to adjust these as needed!
A descent place for small meetings and functions. Service is good and the food was also up to the mark. We had buffet lunch
Islamabad Hotel's Rooftop Bar BQ Buffet in Islamabad offers a promising evening under the stars, but it falls short on delivering a fully satisfying culinary experience. The ambience is a standout, with warm lighting, comfortable seating, and stunning views of the Margalla Hills that create a vibrant, relaxing vibe perfect for families or friends. The space is generously spacious, allowing easy movement even on busy nights, and the hotel has clearly invested heavily in decor and facilities—from the elegant setup to live music that adds a festive touch. The BBQ items shine as the buffet's highlight, with juicy kebabs, grilled meats, and fresh naans cooked to order that burst with smoky flavors. However, other elements disappoint. The Chinese dishes were average at best—bland stir-fries and soggy noodles lacking authentic zest. Rice varieties felt uninspired and overcooked, while the meats in curries were tough and under-seasoned. Desserts were a major letdown, oversweetened to the point of cloying, making them hard to enjoy. Even after sampling modestly, everyone in our group felt overeaten, a sign of portions that prioritize quantity over balanced quality. While the hotel's lavish spending on aesthetics is evident, they should channel resources into elevating the buffet—their core identity. With tweaks to flavors and freshness, this rooftop gem could truly compete with Islamabad's top dining spots. For now, it's worth a visit for the views and BBQ, but temper expectations on the rest.
